My Day Off

I decided to take the day off….feeling a little under the weather. And since I don’t have anything make up relate to share I thought I’d share the titles of two books I recently got. I just finished roasting, grinding, and brewing a cup of coffee. I learned how to do this from a friend who is from Ethiopia. Believe me once you’ve had it this way…you’ll never look at Starbucks the same. To go with it I’m about to snack on 2 veggie samosas. I tell ya if this doesn’t make me feel better, I don’t know what will.

Anyway, here are the books I got from Barnes and Nobles…Bobbi Brown’s Make Up Manual and Sweetness in the Belly by Camilla Gibb. From the looks of it, the manual seems to be very comprehensive and I’m loving the vivid images. The other book is one I hope to finish over the next few days. The back cover says it’s “a stunning evocative novel of a British Muslim woman’s quest for love and belonging in two very different worlds”. Since I love studying different cultures…this is right up my alley.
