My Latest Hauls

Here are some of my recent hauls from MAC, Buff'd Mineral Cometics, Coastal Scents, EG Minerals, Urban Apothecary, and Simply Naturals Mineral Cosmetics. I will provide swatches very soon as I have yet to try most of these products. My most coveted haul is from MAC...thanks again for the suggestions Ren.

I've had this product for a minute and must say that I am pleased with it's performance. It's perfect for quick brush sanitizing. Being really into "green" things, I was pleased to find Urban Apothecary. They specialize in botanical beauty products and natural mineral makeup products...all without unnecessary chemicals.

Okay....so I am fairly new to this blogging thing...no not exactly true. The truth is I was changing out some pictures and mistakenly deleted some comments. Sorry! I promise I'll get the hang of this.

Well, I am very excited about my forthcoming posts. The good news is that I have been receiveing tons of make up from sponsors who would like for me to review their products! For those of you who are curious...I will be reviewing
  • Buff'd Mineral Cosmetics
  • EG Minerals
  • Graftobian Cosmetics
  • Coastal Scents
  • Urban Apothecary and
  • MAC

Let's not forget an update on my growing make up collection. I have added some super products that I hope to use really soon...perhaps on an upcoming wedding in a few months. Lastly, the opportunity arose for me to work with a well-seasoned make up artist here in the Atlanta area. I am so thrilled to learn new techniques, network, and offer my skills as well. More on that too, later.

About Me

As a freelance make up artist since 2003, beauty is my obsession. Aside from this obsession my top fifteen favorite all time things include decorating, fine dining (and of course my catering company), hair, shopping, fashion, technology, entertaining friends, jazz, art, painting, real estate, interior design, live music, nature, and movies. My other world involves being an educator and current doctoral student. It's no wonder that one of my favorite quotes reads...."Imagination is more important than knowledge." – Albert Einstein

My Work

Specializing in make up services for production, photography, special events, bridal, make up parties, etc. Whether you are stepping out on the town for the night or walking down the isle tomorrow. I'll help make your memories gorgeous.

I've done a little bit of everything...from models, to weddings, to recording artists. Here's a look at my portfolio. If you'd like a consultation or rate info, please send an email to eclecticldy@gmail.com.

Make Up Wordle Style

When beauty and make up come to mind certain images flood my mind. Don't get me wrong the two words are not synonymous. You don't have to be made up to exude beauty. It should enhance the luminosity that comes from within.

I came up with this cute word cloud because it was referenced at a technology conference I recently attended. The Wordle site was intended to aid educators by generating word clouds that help to teach concepts such as word choice. When you type in text, the words that appear larger are more frequently used. However, the site is a fun way to make some really cute and creative word art.

Make Up Vanities

Make up vanities are essential elements in the world of make up. This is what my new one looks like. It's from Ikea, the Malm collection. I actually got the idea from MissChievous.
