Latest Fascinations

One of my latest fascinations has been juicing. I couldn't resist any longer and finally bought the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer from Target the other day. Apparently juicing has many health benefits including curbing your appetite, aiding the digestive tract by adding the fruit or veggie pulp to cooked dishes, providing more vitamins and minerals than from cooked food, and giving you an energy boost naturally instead of from things like coffee, which I have almost every morning. The juicer manual has tons of info on which vitamins and minerals come from specific fruits and veggies, as well as recipes. I plan to begin my juicing regime on Sunday when I have time to actually grocery shop.

Last night while at the MAC store, I bought three random eye shadows (Sumptuous Olive, Chrome Yellow, and Soft Brown pictured in that order) because I am trying to fill another palette. When I put them side by side, they reminded me of army colors.

Two other fascinations of mine, foundations and brows, led me to my new loves. The first is Chanel's Pro Lumiere Professional Finish Make Up in Caramel Sienna Intensity 6.0. According to Chanel, this foundation provides you effortless perfection with professional looking results. It's an oil-free formula that gives you a semi-matte finish that can be blended for a soft, natural look or built up for greater sophistication. Although the color is slightly darker than my complexion, it should work fine once I tan up a bit for the summer. I love the creamy, yet silky feel and the amount of coverage it provides without looking too heavy.

Now onto the brows. I think I have finally found the perfect answer for having great brows! Revlon's Brow Fantasy Pencil and Bel in Brunnette is hands down the best brow pencil I have tried. The pencil glides on so smoothly that you can use minimal pressure and the color is really intense without looking too harsh. My normal MAC Lingering and Maybeline Define A Brow were starting to look too ashy and I haven't been happy with them lately. So my prayers have been answered in the brow department. A plus for this product is that it has its own built in colored brow gel in a brown to set the brows once they have been filled in. It comes in four colors so I think I will be adding some of them to my kit as well. Best of all, it was buy one, get one free at Walgreens today.

Lastly, since I have become fascinated with organizing my items, I found a neat way to store small things in your make up kit. I am doing a small wedding on Saturday..bride only, yay! Don't get me wrong, I love doing large weddings, but it will be nice to just focus on making the bride look pretty for a change. Tonight I took out what I will need from my large train case and put everything into a smaller roller bag. I found these cute containers from Staples that I put small items in so everything will be neatly in its place. They come in several colors and are only 99 cents! I used my label maker since the plastic is only somewhat see through. I love the fact that the little drawers pull out and snap back into place neatly. I am sure there are a ton more uses of these little guys.

What a great idea about putting the small kit items into Stables drawer containers. I'm getting me some tomorrow. My kit is way to bulky. Thanks! xxNadia
