Anyway, since I am off work this week, I decided to do a few projects around the house. First off my three clothes closets. One is devoted to coats and work out clothes, the other for out of season clothes, and the main one for in season clothes. I didn't realize how many clothes I don't wear! I have lately been fascinated by the Joy Mangano huggable hangers (as seen on HSN). The hangers are designed to double, even triple your closet space, prevent clothes from slipping, and preserve the shape of clothing among other things. My first order of business was to clean out everything that I wanted to give away to the Salvation Army. I am proud of myself for not holding onto anything that I hadn't worn in the past year. Then I organized my shoes by type and placed each pair in a plastic container. I got these from Walmart and Home Depot for around $1 each.

I even took a picture of each pair and affixed them once printed out with these little double sided sticky tabs used in scrapbooking.

With the shoes off the floor there is so much space for other things. Next off, I purchased some of those Joy Mangano hangers at Target for $4.99 a pack and some cedar blocks. Although I bought the store's supply out in brown, that still wasn't enough, so I ordered the rest from HSN tonight.

Tomorrow I will be arranging the clothes by color and hanging my costume jewelry necklaces on the tie racks that I also got from Target. I will decide what to do with my costume bracelets, earrings and other jewelry later in the week. By the end of the week, I plan to have all closets neatly re-organized, as well as my laundry room and kitchen. And best of all I will be hiring a housekeeper this week to help me maintain all this.
Now on to the make up stuff. Recently, I got some items from the MAC as well as Ulta and wanted to share them with you. I took one of my co-workers and friends to MAC on Friday to get her color matched. While there, I got Bare Canvas Paint, some wipes, 2 eyeshadows (Clarity and Fig 1), along with 2 eyebrow pencils in Strut and Spiked.

Today my order from the Pro Store arrived and it was the Cleanse Off Oil, blot tissues, an empty Pro Color Palette for my new refills, Cleansing Tips, Pro Wedges, and Mascara Wands, all essentials for my kit.

A few days ago, I picked up some eyeshadows for myself that were buy one, get one free at Ulta. I picked up Bermuda Sand, Sandstone, Mint, and Luna to add to my summer eye looks. I love them because they are all richly pigmented and shimmery. I hope to post a look using some of the product I got in a few days.

girl i'm in the process of moving so i'm trying to clear out stuff too! you know what me and my friends do with jewelry? we take a cork bulletin board and use push pins to hang earrings and necklaces from them...that way they stay tangle free and it's almost like a decoration on the wall...you can mix it up do a picture frame and put cork paper inside...that's what my girl did and that looks super cute too.
