My Haute Love Affair

Lately I've been having the hardest time staying away from Haute Look. Embarrassingly enough, I find myself waiting for the clock to strike 11am so I can see the latest sales. And as much as I tell myself that I must end this love affair. I can't seem to resist. I have purchased everything from accessories to you guessed it makeup. I decided not to show my latest purchases...and refocus on the beauty aspect of my blog. So I will only share my recent beauty purchases from Eve Pearl and Stila. I have been using Eve Pearl cosmetics for about 2 years now and it is on my list of top makeup lines. The quality and range of shades and colors is unparalleled and the difference you see after the makeup application is always extraordinary. Trust me, this line looks amazing on everyone. So when I found out the line would be on sale at HL..once again I sat anxiously for the sale to start. I picked up 2 of the HD Dual Foundations (Tan and Dark), the Photo Finish Pressed Powder (Neutral), the Bronzing Highlighter Trio in Classic, 2 eyelash glues, and lipsticks in Love Story, Vampire Kiss, and Enchanted. I used the Tan foundations the other night...was in a hurry and forgot to take a pic of my look. The Dark will go in my kit. I'm most excited about the pressed powder. Here's the directions as seen on Eve Pearl's website.
Directions: Apply with a powder puff in a rolling motion to set and blot or with a brush for a sheer veil.

What it does: A light diffusing sheer pressed powder ideal for light to medium skin tones. Used to eliminate shine for a long lasting flawless finish.
Use the color adjusting fine texture to add highlights and remove discoloration or redness. The perfect travel compact with a mirror and its own fabric pouch for protection in the handbag. Comes with an Eve Pearl Professional Puff.
This will be a handy item for my spring brides.

*Warning my camera does not do the colors justice. I will be getting a new camera within the next few weeks. Any suggestions on what camera to buy???

Stila also had a sale not too long ago on HL. I've been eyeballing the Illuminating Finishing Powder in Rose Gold. And at almost half off I felt justified in getting yet another highlighting powder. I cannot wait to try it. It's actually more rose pink than rose gold but I do like it.

With the arrival of spring I have spent hours re-organizing the contents of my house. I have been looking for a way to store my lipsticks so that they travel well and so that the task of finding the perfect shade of lipstick doesn't take so long. I ran across this neat lipstick box by Sharodan. It costs I think $16.95 and comes with these plastic inserts that create the perfect sized space for a lipstick tube. The box holds 50 total.

I placed various lippies in it to show you that not all glosses fit. My Steelo gloss and MAC Lipglass fit, however anything longer will not.

The box seems pretty sturdy, however if you decide to purchase this, do not...I repeat do not do like me and turn the box upside down to get the little foam cushion out. To my dismay, the plastic inserts collapsed and fell out leaving me with a thousand pieces to fit back together. Well it wasn't that many but it took me forever to figure out how to fit them back in right. All and all I am pleased with my new carrier for lippies and love that it is see thru as well.
