Simple Summer FOTD Using Latest Hauls

Hopefully everyone had a great weekend, and in doing so you took the time to do something you've always wanted to do, told someone you care about how much they mean to you...and just stopped to smell the roses. Going to church today and spending the entire day with my family was the perfect pick me up and nice way to start the week.

Here's a summer day look using some of my most recent haul products. It's simple, but I haven't felt like doing anything dramatic lately.

Here is what I used.

Face: Jan Marini Daily Face Protectant (Tinted), Coty Airspun Loose Powder, Eve Pearl Magic Salmon Concealor

Eyes: UDPP,Dazzlelight E/S, Soft Force E/S Jest E/S, All That Glitters E/S, Saddle E/S, NYX Pigment in Mocha Pearl, Wet N'Wild's Perfect Pair Eye Wand #112 which is a champagne colored eyeshadow stick (used for the inner eye), and a brown pencl eyeliner (used on the lower lid).

Cheeks: Eve Pearl Blush Trio Sassy Cheeks (Medium)

Lips: Smith's Minted Rose Lip Balm, Make Up Junky's Lip Color in Power Pink, MAC Hello Kitty Lip Glass in Sweet Strawberry, NYX Lip Liner in Cocoa

Brows: Ardell's Elegant Stencil, Maybeline Defin a Brow (Med. Brown)
Lashes: Eve Pearl Black Glue, Lashes from China (don't know the brand)

From MAC, I recently got the Honey Light High-Light Powder(I've since returned it because it doesn't show up on me), a Pro Palette 4x E/S Palette, Jest E/S, Dazzlelight E/S, All That Glitters E/S, and Angel Lipstick.

Although I have a few fan brushes in my kit...I didn't have one for myself. It's from Coastal Scents, along with 2 brushes for foundation applications.

Finally...I got the Eve Pearl blush that I wanted. What so great is that if you spend $50, you get a blush trio (in Light) for free!!! So I also got some black eyelash glue. It doesn't seem to smell as bad as Duo, which is a good thing. Lastly, I got a water spray bottle to apply foundation with sponges.

I have been wanting Juicy Couture for a bit now. Scentiments had a good deal on it.

These last two products I used in my looks and must say they are now going to be a part of my normal make up routine. The first is Coty's Airspun Loose Face Powder in Honey Beige. This stuff has been around since 1935 and as a child I remember seeing the same container in my mom's make up and liking the way it looked. The powder can be used to set make up or as a foundation and it has a really nice smell, almost like a perfumed body powder.

Let's just say that because of over tweezing my brows have seen better days. So I was thrilled to find a stencil kit that actually had shapes that I like. This one is by Ardell and includes 4 stencils (Glamorous, Elegant, Classic, and another one I can't remember. My fav is Elegant.

The other day I got ambushed coming out of the MAC store by one of those cosmetic kiosk saleman. Needless to say I ended up dropping $10 bucks for this mineral eyeshadow that can turn into a cream shadow and liner with water, lipgloss with vaseline, and nail polish with clear polish. The brand is Bella Terra and the shade is #41, a metallic bronze olive color. Hopefully within the next few days I will be able to create an evening smokey eye look using it. I'm not sure if I'm sold on it but I am toying with the idea of making nail polish with it.
